Delhi's Shalimar Bagh MLA Rekha Gupta created history when she took oath as Delhi CM. With her taking the oath, Delhi has become the first region to have four woman Chief Ministers. Rekha Gupta is the Bharatiya Janata Party's fourth CM and second woman CM.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday hit out at the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), following their criticism of the newly formed government. She stated that her government has already taken key decisions within a day of assuming office.

Rekha Gupta, the new Chief Minister of Delhi and a Delhi University graduate, was a determined and helpful student as noted by her professor at Daulat Ram College, Indu Jain. She suggested that Rekha was strong-willed and grounded student who demonstrated leadership qualities.
