The Justice Department said in a Thursday filing it would be dropping its immigration case against Elon Musk's SpaceX after the government accused the company of discrimination.

Musk has been spearheading aggressive cost-cutting measures across federal agencies, including those tasked with regulating his businesses.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recommended hastening the end of the International Space Station on his social media site X, arguing that the orbiting laboratory should be taken out of orbit within two years instead of the current five-year target.
