Flag football is slated to be introduced as an Olympic sport when the Summer Games come to Los Angeles in 2028. During the NFL's annual meeting on Tuesday, commissioner Roger Goodell made it clear that the league's players want to compete in the inaugural event.

Some coaches and team owners might take issue with their players participating in flag football because of injuries, but Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn't share that concern.
