GM adds 132K Chevrolet, GMC trucks to previous recall for tailgate problem
DETROIT -- General Motors is adding an estimated 132,000 pickup trucks to a recall that was announced earlier this year because of ongoing issue with the tailgates. According to the Associated Press, the recall impacts certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks that feature a manual gate and power lock and release.

(CNN)– If you drive a general motors truck then you need to listen up. The auto manufacturer is recalling over 132 thousand trucks due to an issue with the tailgate. According to the recall notice water can get in the tailgate causing its electronic-gate-release switch to short circuit.
