Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has voiced his displeasure with Stephen A. Smith multiple times over the last year. He was unhappy with how Smith covered his son, Bronny. James believes that Smith was making personal attacks on Bronny as opposed to talking about his ability as a basketball player. That is something that Smith denied.

Brett Siegel, another insider, gave some more details on the Warriors' interest in James. He reported that after they tried to trade for him just prior to the 2023-24 trade deadline, they checked in on the superstar when this offseason started and again after James picked up his player option on June 30.

However, Yahoo Sports’ Tom Haberstroh has a strong feeling that the end is near for James in Los Angeles, citing that the Lakers could swap the four-time NBA champion for a 6-foot-1 Eastern Conference All-Star.
