Irmo, coming off a heartbreaking loss to Las Vegas, shut out Honolulu, Hawaii, 3-0 in baseball at the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pa.

The Summerlin South Little League team kept its winning streak alive and brought home the victory after scoring the game’s only run in the extra inning. On Monday, Aug. 17, Summerlin South defeated Irmo from South Carolina in the Little League World Series.

Fairfield National faces Las Vegas Wednesday at the Little League World Series, the winner to advance to the U.S. championship game.

Fairfield National spent time reveling in its 3-0 start at the Little League Baseball World Series during Monday night’s postgame press conference. The Connecticut and Metro champion is the first state team to start 3-0 at the LLWS since Trumbull National in 1989.
