Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton set the pace in first practice at the British Grand Prix from McLaren's Lando Norris. Hamilton headed Norris by 0.023 seconds at Silverstone, with the second McLaren of championship leader Oscar Piastri third, ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton raised hopes of more British Grand Prix heroics with the fastest lap in first practice on Friday while 17-year-old Arvid Lindblad looked strong in his debut session for Red Bull.

Ferrari have been on the up and up lately with the team accruing better and better performances since the Monaco Grand Prix. Now at Silverstone, the Scuderia's charged seems to be confirmed, Lando Norris believes.
