Alejandro Kirk hit a game-ending, bases-loaded single in the 10th inning and the Toronto Blue Jays overcame a six-run deficit to beat the Boston Red Sox 7-6.

Lucas Giolito was brilliant in his debut, but the Red Sox wound up blowing a six-run lead before losing to the Blue Jays on a walk-off in extra innings.

The Sox signed the righthander after the 2023 season, but he suffered an elbow injury in spring training that required season-ending surgery, then had his 2025 debut delayed by a hamstring strain, opening the season on the injured list.
