Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes is putting together a Cy Young-worthy season everywhere but in the win-loss column.

Scherzer is impressed with Skenes so far, but he issued a challenge to the 23-year-old ahead of the Blue Jays' trip to PNC Park. "To me the biggest thing is durability," Scherzer said on Sunday, per Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.

Paul Skenes didn’t get the win but struck out eight and held the Blue Jays to a pair of runs across six-solid innings.
