Heavy rain is likely to cause some flooding and disruption across parts of Wales, according to the Met Office. It has issued an amber weather warning across mid and south east Wales on Sunday from 15:00 GMT until 06:00 on Monday. Meanwhile, wind gusts of up to 60mph (97km/hr) are expected inland across Wales on Sunday until 18:00.

An area of low pressure developing in the Gulf of America, formerly known as Gulf of Mexico, is set to move over SWFL early Monday and continue into Tuesday AM bring rounds of heavy rain and T-Storms.

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for heavy rain and deep floodwater that could cause “danger to life”. The warning covers south and mid-Wales from Newport to Carmarthen and north to Brecon between 3pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday.

Our weather may have had more of a feel of spring about it over the last few days, but wind and rain has still featured for some. On Friday, while the likes of Hull, Thetford and Nairn hit 17 Celsius (63F) many western areas were lashed with gales and rain at times.
