No. 4 Tennessee used a career outing from Liam Doyle en route to a defeat of Samford, 5-1. The Vols (5-0) did their part in the batter’s box to supplement their starting pitching as they downed the Bulldogs (3-2). Doyle racked up a career-high 14 strikeouts in just 5.1 innings pitched, giving up just two hits.
