Grocery store workers in New Hampshire got quite a surprise when a venomous snake was found in a recent shipment of bananas.

The employee found a snake — later identified as an Ornate Cat-eyed Snake, which officials say is a mildly venomous snake species native to Ecuador, New Hampshire Fish and Game wrote in a Facebook post.
