Amazon faces global protests from workers during Black Friday, with demands for better wages, conditions, and environmental accountability.

Each year has focussed on different aspects of Amazon’s business practices, with some specifically targeting chief executive Jeff Bezos. Demonstrators have previously projected ‘pandemic profiteer’ onto his mansion after his personal wealth grew by more than $65 billion during the covid pandemic.

Amazon workers in 20 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, are planning to strike or protest on Black Friday and Cyber Monday as part of “Make Amazon Pay” demonstrations. The demonstrations are a way for employees to protest poor working conditions.
