Black Doves sees UK television's darling Sarah Lancashire, fresh off her BAFTA win for Best Actress in the BBC's Happy Valley and being awarded Special Recognition at the NTAs, in her first foray into the world of streaming.

"For 10 years, she’s been passing on her politician husband’s secrets to the shadowy organisation she works for: the Black Doves. When her secret lover Jason (Andrew Koji) is assassinated, her spymaster, the enigmatic Reed (Sarah Lancashire), calls in Helen’s old friend Sam (Ben Whishaw) to keep her safe.

All we know right now is the series is set in London at Christmas. Keira Knightley plays a spy, Helen, who has been married to the defence secretary for 10 years trading government secrets as part of an underground operation called the Black Doves, headed up by Mrs Reed (Sarah Lancashire).
