The parents of girls who lost their lives at Camp Mystic on July 4 will testify before the Texas Senate Disaster Preparedness and Flooding Select Committee in support of Senate Bill 1.

Tearful parents of girls who died at Camp Mystic during Texas flooding last month, pleaded with state lawmakers Wednesday to toughen safety at summer camps.

A Texas Legislative Committee heard for the first time from the parents who demanded better flood warning systems, better training and equipment for camps near the river.
