Anthropic is joining the ranks of OpenAI in offering a more expensive tier of its flagship chatbot. On Wednesday, the company announced Claude Max. Starting today, you can either pay $100 or $200 per month to use Claude up to 5x or 20x more than you can with Anthropic's existing Pro plan.

Claude has a new subscription tier called "MAX," but it costs a whopping $200 per month, and users aren't happy with how the company enforces rate limits.

As AI companies look to find ways to support their incredibly expensive models, it appears Anthropic will follow in the footsteps of OpenAI. With the release of its new Max plan, Anthropic now has prices all the way up to $200 a month.
