Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Joe Coleman died Wednesday morning, his son Casey Coleman confirmed earlier this week. Coleman was 78 when he died in his sleep in Jamestown, Tennessee.

The Tigers look to make a hard push heading into the Midsummer Classic, as they hope to stay at the top of the Major League Baseball standings before Monday. They are riding high thanks to a stretch of good play, having swept the Cleveland Guardians, on the road, last weekend, before taking two of three from the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the week.
