Placer County celebrates National Adoption Day, finalizing 12 adoptions and encouraging community involvement in fostering and adoption.

After 24 years as a foster mother, Felicia Williams welcomed home her daughter, Miracle. This adoption holds special meaning for Williams, as Miracle's birth mother was once in her care as a foster child.

Since the celebration began in the year 2000, more than 85,000 children in the United States have been adopted on National Adoption Day.
