The New Orleans Saints won't take Derek Carr's shoulder injury into consideration when they make their 2025 NFL Draft selection, general manager Mickey Loomis said Wednesday.

"He does have an issue with his shoulder," Loomis told reporters in a pre-draft news conference. "We're hoping to get some resolution, [some] clarity on that in the near future. And when we do, I'll report back to you. Otherwise, I don't have anything more to state about Derek."

With the NFL Draft approaching, reports emerged suggesting Carr could miss the entire 2025 NFL season due to a shoulder injury. Loomis was asked about that situation Wednesday. He confirmed Carr is dealing with a shoulder issue, but he said the team was hoping to have more information soon.
