The university's minidome, which has seen decades of Jaguar victories and graduations, instead hosted the Southern community in a time of sorrow.

Wilson’s family and loved ones, state and local officials and community members were in attendance. A public memorial was held at Southern University in honor of student Caleb Wilson.

Heavy hearts filled the F.G. Clark Activity Center on Friday, March 14, as hundreds of family, friends, fellow Jaguars, and strangers came to pay their respects and pray for Caleb Wilson’s loved ones.
