James Gunn’s Superman has already broken a few records at the box office, but does it stack up against Man of Steel?

There's more good news for Superman, because after soaring to the biggest Wednesday of 2025, the DC Studios movie has already grossed more than Black Adam did during its entire run at the U.S. box office.

Superman hit the big screen on July 11 with all the power of a Kryptonian smashing through a Metropolis high-rise. The film is a reboot from director James Gunn, who directed the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
