Netflix is looking to capture some of YouTube’s lightning in a bottle with video podcasts. Executives at the streaming giant want to make video podcasts the next format available on the service. At least four industry insiders have confirmed the news to Business Insider,
Netflix has turned to YouTube again by commissioning a version of hit UK format Blue Therapy.
"To celebrate Pokémon Day, the Netflix series "Pokémon Concierge" will be streamed on the official Pokémon YouTube channel! All four episodes will be released sequentially from Friday, February 21st. Don't miss it, as it will be available until Sunday, March 9th!"
Netflix is doing its own version of the YouTube reality hit Blue Therapy, produced by the newly launched Osun Group.
YouTube is mostly consumed on TV in the USA and benefits from its video creators. Netflix would also like to integrate this affordable content.
