The fifth and penultimate edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings were released Tuesday night with undefeated Oregon maintaining its spot at No. 1 as has been the case in every set of rankings during this initial year of the expanded 12-team field.

Oregon maintains the top spot in the latest College Football Playoff reveal, but there was a huge shakeup in the rankings following Ohio State's loss to Michigan.

The Oregon football team was ranked No. 1 in the fifth edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, as decided by the selection committee. As a top-4 team, if the Ducks manage to hold on to that ranking this week, they would receive a first-round bye and start playoff play in the quarterfinals.
