Coronation Street's Chesney Brown faced a run-in with a mystery character not identified on the ITV soap on Wednesday, with viewers now predicting sad scenes ahead

After he’s nearly mowed down by a van at Freshco’s car park earlier in the week, Chesney is stressed and struggling to make ends meet and looking after his and wife Gemma Winter-Brown’s (Dolly-Rose Campbell) five kids on his own is taking its toll.

Upon returning, he discovered his car vandalised and the van making a hasty getaway. Later, that same van was spotted tearing down his street, clipping Chesney's car and narrowly missing him, reports Plymouth Live. After discussing the frightening events, Chesney's son Joseph overheard and became anxious that the "van man" was targeting his father.
