On April 24, around 1:23 p.m., a dump truck, owned and operated by the City of Eden, was going north on Carroll Street and approaching Church Street.

Authorities said the older man was now in stable condition, but the 24-year-old remained in critical condition. Investigators said that Michael Ray Vernon, 66, of Eden, was driving the dump truck.
