Every 2025 Kia EV9 model is based on the brand’s E-GMP platform, which also underpins the likes of the EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 / Ioniq 6 models. The parent company's past work on sporty EVs has helped to inform this latest product, which seems to combine fan-favorite elements from both Hyundai and Kia EVs.

Joining the 2025 EV9 lineup is Kia's new GT offshoot of the striking all-electric SUV, which has finally been unveiled. Compared to the standard model, the EV9 GT has a sportier appearance, a revised powertrain configuration, more power, and much more.

While it looks largely the same as the existing EV9, the GT packs an estimated 501 horsepower, which Kia says will fling the three-row electric SUV from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds.
