The Big Ten Conference has announced it fined Michigan and Ohio State $100,000 each for violating the conference's sportsmanship policy for the on-field melee at the end of the Wolverines' win in Columbus.

As a result of these violations, the Big Ten Conference has issued an institutional fine to both the University of Michigan and The Ohio State University in the amount of $100,000 each. The Big Ten Conference considers this matter concluded and will have no further comment.

The Big Ten is set to discipline both Ohio State and Michigan for the postgame fracas that occurred in the aftermath of "The Game" at Ohio Stadium on Saturday. According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, both programs will be fined $100,000 as a result of the skirmish that took place on the field after the Wolverines' upset win over the Buckeyes.
