The New York Yankees still need to add help in the infield and a recent blockbuster trade idea would help them quite a bit.

The St. Louis Cardinals certainly tried to trade Nolan Arenado to the Houston Astros throughout the offseason. The two sides came to terms on a deal but Arenado used his no-trade clause to shut it down.

The Cardinals were on the verge of trading Arenado, their top offseason goal, and they’d not only pulled off a deal, they’d matched with one of the teams on the eight-time All-Star’s short and semi-problematic five-team list of acceptable destinations.
