South Africa leads Sri Lanka by 281 runs in the first cricket test in Durban after the end of a dramatic second day in which 19 wickets fell.

Marco Jansen bowled South Africa into a dominant position as Sri Lanka crashed to 42 all out, their lowest total in Test cricket, on the second day of the first Test against South Africa at Kingsmead on Thursday.

It was also the lowest total by any team against South Africa, three fewer than New Zealand’s 45 in Cape Town in 2013
