Walgreens announced it was closing 1,200 stores nationwide, and now, individual stores are reporting that they're closing their doors, including two in Oakland.

The company cited "increased regulatory and reimbursement pressures" as factors in the decision to close the local sites.

After three decades in business, Walgreens is set to close its storefront at 2515 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria. The location will close on Jan. 22, 2025.

Walgreens is closing two stores on Milwaukee's north side, part of the pharmacy chain's plan to close around 1,200 stores over the next few years.
