CHICAGO - Three people were wounded, one critically, in a shooting early Thursday in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. in an alley in the 5500 block of South Ada, police said. A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the body and was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The office of Ald. Timm Knudsen (43rd) said there is reason to believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and the victim and the shooter knew each other.

The man, 34, approached a group of people, and an argument ensued about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 2400 block of North Clark Street, police said. He was shot in his chest and hospitalized in critical condition.
