Nayanthara is embroiled in a legal dispute with actor Dhanush over the unauthorized use of a three-second clip from their film 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' in her documentary, 'Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale'.

Nayanthara faced legal trouble after Dhanush sent her a legal notice for not obtaining approval to use a BTS clip from his film in her documentary.

The case was brought to the Madras High Court on November 27 and the court asked Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and others to clarify the allegations against them.

The same is part of personal library, therefore this is not infringement.” Dhawan also confirmed that they have formally responded to Dhanush’s legal notice, with the case set for its next hearing in the Madras High Court on December 2.
