Browning, who is vying to keep his backup job over ex-Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders QB Desmond Ridder, who signed with the Bengals in late July, threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-25 attempts after taking over for Burrow with about nine minutes remaining in the second quarter.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played three series to open Monday night's game against the Commanders and the final possession saw him sharing the field with a different supporting cast.
"Well Jake Browning, he comes in now," Troy Aikman said during the broadcast. "He takes over. Oh, excuse me. No Burrow, he's back in."
