New details have emerged following a chaotic Thanksgiving Day standoff at the Kingston Shores Condominiums in Ormond-by-the-Sea, where more than 200 rounds were fired.

Some residents at the Kingston Shores Condos remain unable to access their homes more than 24 hours after a violent Thanksgiving Day standoff ended with a Volusia County sheriff’s sniper killing the suspect.

DiFusco was a convicted felon in Connecticut for firearms offenses, Chitwood said. The incident began Thursday morning at Kingston Shores Condominiums at 5500 Ocean Shore Blvd. It was reported that DiFusco had shot at a deputy's vehicle from inside his condominium and also targeted neighboring units.
