PSV Eindhoven was giving thanks to its United States internationals in the Champions League. Trailing 2-0 in the 87th minute at home to Shakhtar Donetsk, there seemed no way back for the Netherlands team in red and white striped jerseys until its American stars stepped up.

Malik Tillman scored two late goals before substitute Ricardo Pepi netted five minutes into stoppage time to see PSV Eindhoven stage a dramatic comeback against 10-man Shakhtar Donetsk and win 3-2 in the Champions League on Wednesday.

PSV Eindhoven mounted a stunning comeback with three late goals against Shakhtar Donetsk to give their chances of progress in the Champions League a huge boost. The Ukrainian side were on the brink of pulling off an upset of their own in the Phillips Stadium as they twice punished some sloppy PSV defending in the first half with lethal finishes by Danylo Sikan and Oleksandr Zubkov.

With two goals in the first half, Shakhtar Donetsk took a 2–0 lead deep into the match. In the 87th minute, however, PSV midfielder Malik Tillman pulled the Dutch side within a
