Last season was a roller coaster ride for the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks. Russell Wilson suffers an injury very early in the offseason, opening the door for Justin Fields to start the season. He did just that and went 4-2 in his first six games.

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be leaning increasingly toward Justin Fields as their quarterback in 2025. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler gave the latest update on Fields and the Steelers on Thursday, saying there is plenty of internal optimism that a deal will be made for Pittsburgh with Fields.

In a bold assertion amidst swirling rumors, Russell Wilson stands firm in his belief that the Pittsburgh Steelers are poised to make a big decision regarding his future as their quarterback. Russell Wilson is a few weeks away from becoming a free agent.

With Sam Darnold likely gone and J.J. McCarthy unproven, Wilson could be a steady presence in Minnesota’s offense. McCarthy could also gain from sitting behind Wilson for a season after missing the entirety of his rookie season due to a torn meniscus.
